It's all about that prep, 'bout that prep, 'bout that prep

This morning it is actually snowing on my Gypsy Wagon :(.

Two weeks today, the epic journey will begin.

No more evenings pouring over Trip Advisor and Yelp reviews, no more lists, and no more big batch cooking.  I will be hitching up the trailer, pulling to the end of the driveway and pausing for a pre-trip moment of quiet prayer before sliding Mr. Thirsty into gear and pressing the pedal on the right.

The biggest challenge of our departure may just be navigating after school pick up.  That can be crazy at the best of times!

Alex is beside himself now that tickets to the Canucks vs. Coyotes NHL game have been acquired. Dominic is looking forward to the trip but has yet to declare what he is really looking forward to.  Like his Mama, he is always game for adventure and will go with the flow.

One thing both boys are excited about is the prospect of American fast food!?  They are concerned that they will not get any and will be missing out on the 'different taste'.  "It tastes different in the States, Mama!"

Oh my.

While much of the food prep is to ensure that we eat a reasonable diet, it is mostly to free me up to cram work in between adventure.  I am still not really sure how I am going to manage my online teaching between the driving and exploring.  Oh well, one day at a time.

Dreams Becoming Reality

This will be the first full season in the Gypsy Wagon.  In three weeks the road trip begins to all points south.  I have dithered for the last week whether or not to join Micha and the boys on their adventure to Phoenix, Arizona over Spring Break.

The goal is to go to a Canucks games in Phoenix on March 22, 2015.

I thought it would also be a good time to learn how to make a blog.

Fun!
