Day 7: Cannon Beach, Mo's and Marion Berry Pie.

Indian Beach in Ecola State Park near Cannon Beach, OR.

Best caption wins pie.

What a difference a day makes. Today we traded sunshine and blue sky for thick fog and coastal damp. We head north a short ways to visit our favourite haunts in the Cannon Beach area:  Ecola State Park, Mo's Seafood Restaurant and a walk to Haystack Rock.

On the way back to camp we found pie! It was a good day.

Fog rolls up over the roadway as we climb out of Nehalem Bay.

The drive through Ecola State Park to Indian Beach is a lush, ferny delight.

There are a few brave souls trying to surf. The cormorants watch from their cliff perches.

We are selfie junkies.  OK, maybe I am a selfie junky.

It took an embarrassingly large number of tries to capture us both airborne at the same time. Good thing this beach was sparsely populated.

Gooseneck barnacles.

A row of pelicans cheer on the surfers.

One last look before we head into town.

This pelican joined us from the gift shop.

This is Mom and Dad's favourite place to go so we sent Mom pictures as we ate.

The Cannonball Bowl - my favourite.

Marianne rang every bell in the shop to find just the right do-dad for her deck.

Pelican rejoined his friends on our way out.

Haystack Rock, Cannon Beach, OR.

Nothing fresher than still-moving crab lunch.

Marion berry pie. Tastes like Blackberry Pie.

Cute little pie and cookie shop.

We've upgraded!  Just kidding. These are our neighbours.
